One Foggy Night

on a planet close to home, there was a purple moon, a haze in the orange sky.

I looked upon the atmosphere to contemplate my position, our place.

The insects were all butterflies! The flowers all in bloom!

And edible with the flavor of the galaxy unknown…

 

While chewing on a petal, I gave my pet a taste, and laid on the velvet blue grass.

Just then I heard a lullaby 

like a million birds in spring and hummed a human harmony…

When I awoke you were beside me, kaleidoscope eyes of grays.

The fog had cleared, the sun came out, and we shared a daisy in its rays.
